This proposed itinerary starts and ends in Livingstone.

1. Livingstone Airport – Taita Falcon Lodge

You wil be collected from the airport and transferred to the lodge (45 min drive)

2. Spend 3 nights at Taita Falcon Lodge 

3 nights at Taita with daily trips out to Victoria Falls for your chosen activity

3. Taita Falcon Lodge – Lumbe Pools

Transfer to Lumbe Pools (Approx 5 hours)

4. Spend 4 nights at Lumbe pools

Spend your days tigerfishing, visiting Sioma Falls, snorkeling in the Lumbe or relaxing in camp.

Spend 3 nights at Taita Falcon Lodge: A secluded bushcamp located 13km from Victoria Falls

About Taita Falcon Lodge

Upon arrival at Livingstone Airport, you will be transferred to Taita Falcon Lodge—a secluded retreat located 230m above the Zambezi river. For the next 3 nights, enjoy a perfect balance of tranquility and thrill. Relax on the lodge’ property or head into Victoria Falls to experience everything from the ‘Flight of Angels’ and white-water rafting to river cruises

The lodge is a haven for birdwatchers, named after the rare Taita Falcon that nests in the cliffs nearby. Guided hikes into the gorge allow you to experience the sheer scale of the landscape on foot.

About Lumbe Pools Camp

From Taita, it is a 5 hour drive to your next destination – Lumbe Pools Camp.

Exceptional Tiger Fishing:

 With exclusive access to a stretch of river featuring rapids, deep pools, and islands, you’ll have the opportunity of fishing for Tigerfish using aluminium boats under the guidance of our fishing guides.

Beyond the Rod:

 When not fishing, you’ll be able to visit the Sioma Falls (the Zambezi’s second-largest waterfall), swim in natural “jacuzzis” or enjoy G&Ts on the rocks.

Open-Air Living

The unique chalets are completely open to the river, allowing the sounds of the water and the African night to flow through your room. It is the ultimate “immersive” wilderness stay

DATES & SEASONS

Lumbe Pools Camp is open from 1 March - 15 January

You can visit Lumbe Pools from March to mid-January but keep in mind that some of the activities will be better experienced at certain times of the year. Chat to us about what type of experience you're looking for and we can recommend when the best time to go would be.
