About Lumbe Pools Camp

Your journey begins in the heart of the “Wild West” of Zambia at Lumbe Pools, a camp situated at the rare confluence of two distinct rivers: the mighty Zambezi and the pristine, crystal-clear Lumbe.

Your accommodation will be in our signature Open-Air Chalets, uniquely designed to let the wilderness in. Built with sandbag walls and canvas, these rooms feature no windows—only the gentle breeze of the Zambezi and the sounds of the night. Each chalet includes en-suite bathrooms with hot-water “donkey boilers,” comfortable king or twin beds, and private verandas that look directly onto the river. Zambezi..

 Tiger Fishing:

With exclusive access to a stretch of river featuring rapids, deep pools, and islands, you’ll have plenty of time to do some tigerfishing under the guidance of our fishing guides.

RIVER FACING CHALETS

The unique chalets are completely open to the river, allowing the sounds of the water and the African night to flow through your room. It is the ultimate “immersive” wilderness stay

SIOMA FALLS

When not fishing, explore the Sioma (Ngonye) Falls—the Zambezi’s second-largest waterfall—where you can swim in natural rock “jacuzzis” or enjoy a beer on the rocks overlooking the falls .
