For passionate anglers and curious beginners alike, our section of the Upper Zambezi is an uncrowded paradise. Location 40 km of varied, rock-based water—from swirling rapids and deep gorge pools to tranquil channels. Because we are virtually the only commercial operator here, you won’t be competing with other boats for the best section of water.

Excursions to Sioma Falls (Ngonye Falls)
No stay at Lumbe Pools is complete without a day trip to Sioma Falls—the second-largest waterfall on the Zambezi River. Smaller in height than Victoria Falls, Sioma is renowned for its expansive, horse-shoe shaped drop and sheer, raw power.
Natural Jacuzzis & Rock Pools: Scramble across ancient basalt formations and swim in the cool, swirling natural rock pools above the rushing falls.

Clear water snorkeling in the Lumbe River
Unlike the main Zambezi, the feeding Lumbe River runs remarkably clear.
